Banff Canada September 2018 – In our Banff Vlog, we focus on the Best places to take photos in Banff, Family Fun Learning Experiences, and Restaurants with the best food! These 3 things makes the perfect trip for our family and Banff was one of those places great for it all!
This was a spur of the moment trip because the weather forecast looked nice and that makes all the difference in places like this where the mountains are sky high. We flew into Calgary and drove a scenic 1.5 hours to Banff.
We stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs, which is like a hotel built into an old castle with the most amazing views from its terrace. This is the best hotel to stay at in Banff.
We used the 4th night free benefit from our Citi Prestige credit card and flew using credit card miles, so it was a pretty cheap trip especially with the Canadian dollar to US dollar conversion rate!
Here are the best places to take photos near Downtown Banff:
– Lake Minnewanka
– Bow Falls
– Sulfur Mountain Summit (get to the top by Gondola or hike it)
Best Restaurants:
– Sky High Bistro (the views!)
– Juniper Bistro
– 1888 Chop House
– Downtown Banff Restaurants
1.5 hour drive from Banff:
Go early (best at sunrise) or the parking lot is full and road closed off!
– Lake Louise
– Lake Moraine
